1. Can you remember your first Gala Day?
No.
2. What, for you, was the 'Best' Gala you ever helped to organise and why?
The year of the scorching summer when there was no worry about getting a good day!
3. Have you any funny stories to tell about your time on the 'Gala Committee' i.e. fund-raising etc?
The Sponsored Assault Court at Redford Barracks. I'll never forget the great relief at getting over the last obstacle - I thought I'd died and gone to heaven!
4. Have there been any times when you have wanted to relinquish your position on the Gala Committee?
Yes , many times !
5 .Who, would you say, has done more to keep the Galas going and why?
Janette Stewart - for her drive and organisation .
6. What makes a good Committee Member?
Being very keen and half-daft!
7. When did you join the Gala Day Committee?
Over ten years ago. (Early 80's)
