Chairmans Message
As Gala week approaches once again I take pleasure in expressing
my thanks and appreciation to all those who have supportrd us during the past
year. My Committee Members and I recognise, and are grateful for, the help
and assistance we receive. Each person's contribution whether large or small
is needed and greatly valued.
You will perhaps have noticed we are in a celebratory mood in Newtongrange,
all due to the fact it is the 75th Birthday of The Gala which began all those
years ago and continues to flourish. It gives us an oppertunity to gather
together and join in festivities with our families, friends & neighbours.
The Great support given to our Gala ensures that this traditional community
event will carry on for many years to come.
On behalf of myself and my Committe, I would like to offer our congratulations
and best wishes to Queen Glenda, King Kevin and the 1988 Gala Court.
We look forward to an enjoyable day at the Gala on Saturday 18th June and
hope the sun will shine brightly on Newtongrange during Gala Week.
Have Fun
