Jim Ingles The Dean Manager
1994 - 2004
For ten years the steward, who served The Dean so well.
That’s you Jim.
Respected, held in high esteem, by Staff and clientele.
That’s you Jim.
Sonnet To A Man Of Worth
Carousing, refreshing or calling for a blether.
You kept order in The Dean, so all could drink together.
Excesses you rebuked but left one with one’s pride.
No obtrusive arrogance included in your chide.
Always groomed with elegance, becoming to your role.
A gentleman of stature and integrity of soul.
Your office you performed but never with disparity.
You chatted, you grieved and you joined in our hilarity.
The Dean of course will still go on and that is rightly so.
And managers will always come and managers will go.
You maintained The Dean tradition and that had to be.
But you also made it easy, for me to be just me.
He quits the helm with a farewell sigh.
Walks on with pride and head held high.
That’s you Jim!
